Sneha and Alok are both from in Kathmandu, Nepal and were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront on SW Naito Parkway. Nepali-Hindu weddings are deeply rooted with cultural and religious traditions that have been practiced for thousands of years. One of my favorite moment was when Alok and his family arrived in a dancing procession with a 1947 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith to reach the wedding venue, where Sneha’s family welcomed them with aarati (blessings). The day was filled with ceremonial activities that culminated in a reception filled with toast and dancing.
